Important Notices

• In lieu of the introduction of the online registration of all Sweden Visa applications on the Swedish Migration Board Link; all the fields in the Schengen application form for applicants applying to Sweden are mandatory.
  
  VFS shall register all applications for Sweden visas online before the same is forwarded to the Swedish Embassy in New Delhi for further processing.
  
  Providing all the necessary details in the Sweden visa application form is critical to the online registration of the application and ensuring timely processing of the same.
  
  

• Opening of VACs at Bangalore
  
  The Embassy of Sweden is pleased to announce the opening of its Visa Application Centre operated by VFS Global Services Private Limited in Bangalore. The visa applications for all short stay can be submitted at the Sweden Visa Application Centre in Bangalore. All applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Sweden, located in New Delhi.
  
  

• Change in Submission Timings
  
  Please note that with effect from 1 June 2011 the timings for submission of applications at the Sweden visa application centre, New Delhi have been changed to:
  
  0800-1100 hrs and 1300-1430 hrs on working days (except holidays).
  
  

• New Helpline No# for All-India
  
  Please be informed that with effect from 18^th August 2010 helpline number for VFS Sweden visa application centre for all India will be +91 120 6641010
  
  

• A New EU-Regulation about Visas from April 5, 2010
  
  A new EU-regulation about visas (Visa Codex) will enter into force on April 5, 2010.
  
  In addition to this the Visa Codex will involve many changes compared with the previous regulations.
  1. In connection with the introduction of the Visa Codex a new Schengen Visa application form will replace previous Schengen Visa application form. Please download the new form from the given link http://se.vfsglobal.co.in/preparing-application.aspx
     
  2. Application can be submitted only three (3) months prior to departure.
     
  3. From April 5, 2010 only passports issued within the previous ten (10) years will be accepted.
     
  4. Passport must have minimum two blank pages.
     
  5. Passport should be valid for at least three (3) months longer than intended stay.
