New Visa Application Procedure at the Embassy of Sweden in New Delhi

Application procedure

From 15th Oct 2008, The VFS Swedish Visa Application Centre located at No 15-26, Block E, 2nd Floor, International Trade Tower, Nehru Place, New Delhi- 110019, will accept visa applications from all country nationals who wish to travel to Sweden. VFS will submit all such visa applications to The Embassy of Sweden located in New Delhi.

Timings for submission of application will be: -

• 0800 - 1200 Applicants / Representatives / Travel Agents
  
• 1300 - 1600 Applicants / Representatives
  
• 1100 - 1200, 1300 - 1600 Return of Passports

From January 30 2012, The VFS Sweden Visa Application Centre located in Bangalore shall also accept applications for visas.

Timings for submission of application will be:-
0800-1200 hours, 1300-1500 hours
Monday-Friday

Travel Agent Timing:
0800-11:30 hours

The VAC shall be open Mon to Fri, except on Embassy holidays.

VFS shall accept applications for Tourist, Relative/Friend, Business, Conference and Transit Visa categories maximum of 90 days duration in a six months period.

Application for stay in Sweden exceeding 90 days or for the purpose of taking up employment are subject to the national law of the country of destination and needs to be submitted at The Embassy of Sweden, in New Delhi.

If you are applying for Residence and/or Work Permit, you must submit your application at the Embassy or Consulate.

SCHENGEN visa has to be obtained from the Embassy / Consulate of the country where the MAIN PURPOSE OF TRAVEL lies. In case of travel to multiple Schengen countries, please make your application to the Embassy / Consulate where you will be staying for the maximum number of days or your first port of entry into the Schengen territory.
